With non-invasive cosmetic procedures on the rise, many experts in the plastic surgery profession are anticipating the rise of specific procedures. From non-surgical facelifts to Botox, many of these procedures are already in high-circulation, but should see a boost in popularity this year.
The non-surgical trend is expected to eclipse surgical procedures heavily in 2015, with 88 percent of operations performed being minimally invasive.
Longevity Live interviewed a selection of leading plastic surgeons and aesthetics professionals to gather their views on the trends the industry should expect to see in 2015, with a focus on cosmetic procedures with quick recovery.
Here are a few of their top responses:
Botox – Botox provides many benefits with nearly zero recovery time needed. For many patients, this provides the anti-aging boost they are looking for to feel a little more comfortable with their appearance with a low price tag attached.
Infrared – One of the most popular, newer procedures on the market is Infrared-based skin tightening. The use of infrared light to apply heat to the skin helps to boost collagen production and provide similar benefits to surgical facelifts without any invasive processes.
Injectables – Dermal fillers and other injectables are also growing in popularity for many of the same reasons as Botox. From anti-aging to wrinkle elimination, these procedure are performed quickly and have little to no recovery time needed.
Microdermabrasion – The use of microneedles to superficially puncture the skin promotes the growth of collagen, smoothing out skin tone and helping eliminate wrinkles, providing a more youthful appearance overall with minimal recovery time.
Skin tightening – There are a variety of procedures available for skin tightening, but lasers provide the best results with minimal recovery time. Many patients book a laser skin tightening procedure and return to work the next day, or even go out to dinner later that evening.
